Inspector General of Police, Goa Omvir Singh, IPS on Saturday visited the South Goa district police headquarters here for an interaction with the police officers from the district.
He was welcomed by the district police chief, SP Abhishek Dhania before the new IGP went into a huddle with the police officers.
Sources informed that IGP Singh had an interaction with the district Police Chief, the Sub-divisional police officers and the police station in-charges from the district.
Police sources said the IGP during his address to the force laid stress on policing and other matters pertaining to the department.
Ahead of the IGP’s visit, the Margao police went into an overdrive, cleaning the entrance to the district police headquarters by pressing into service a fire tender from the Margao fire brigade for he clean up operation.
