Stating that the main requirement of any administration is an Administration Training Institute (ATI), Chief Secretary and Chairman of GIPARD said human capital in an administration is very important.
“I used to feel very sad as we did not have ATI and we used to send our officers out of the State. But fortunately, with the vision of the chief minister, we have been able to get something which represents an ATI,” the Chief Secretary said.
“We have to do capacity building, we have to update ourselves with technology, knowledge and skills. A lot needs to be done, we have a long way to go,” he opined.
Speaking further, the Chief Secretary said GIPARD needs to coordinate and cooperate with other institutes of education, training so that they can talk to each other and use each other's strengths.
“If Goa University or NIO has something, we would like to use their resources and if we have something, we will like to share with them. GIPARD has to take the lead in trying to get all of them on the same platform to share their resources, experiences,” he added.
