Passengers arriving by trains at Vasco railway station will now be screened by a medical team from the state administration.
Vasco Railway Station Manager Ramdas Gudemane on Wednesday told reporters that there were hundreds of passengers arriving by trains at the Vasco railway station.
“Acting on a new guideline by the State government, all passengers will be screened on arrival. The Goa Express and Yeshwantpur Express trains will arrive on Thursday morning. Around 150-200 passengers arrive by the Goa Express, and around 100 passengers arrive by the Yeshwantpur express and passengers of both trains will be screened upon arrival,” said Gudemane.
“The screening will be carried out by a state administration team who have camped here for the purpose. Screening of passengers will be carried out till further advice by the State government,” the station manager said.
