Stating that required infrastructure is being set up for functioning of special Saturday courts to expedite tenancy cases, Revenue Minister Rohan Khaunte informed that dedicated mamlatdars too would be appointed soon for speedy disposal.
Speaking to media persons, he said, "The process is going on. We have already asked for transfer of cases. Once the transfer happens, we will ensure that the cases are taken up. We have already planned Saturday courts and other things."
Stating that it was the demand of the people that tenancy cases should be reverted to mamlatdars, he said, "It is only because of their demand that the bill was introduced and passed in the assembly in the interest of the common man to ensure time-bound justice."
"Recruitment of new mamlatdars is in process. While doing this, a dedicated one mamlatdar for tenancy, mutation and mundkarial cases for a special court on a Saturday will be appointed for faster disposal. We will appoint mamlatdars who are fit to take up these cases," he said.
Colvale Comunidade
Revenue Minister Rohan Khaunte on Tuesday informed that notices of demolition have been issued to the concerned in the Colvale Communidade land issue.
"Notices have already been issued for the demolition of seven structures which were there. We have already written to TCP over the road access issue. So whatever was required within the scope of law we have ensured that it is done", he informed.
"However, we have also take action as far as the managing committee is concerned. Under justice we have asked them to reply on why action should not be taken against them for their action. If things are not justified for the illegalities carried out, action would be taken," he said.
Start-up Policy 2017
IT Minister Rohan Khaunte said that plans are afoot to implement the Goa Start-up Policy 2017 within the next two months.
"The policy is already released and available online. Only whatever is needed for implementation - a start-up cell with a CEO and necessary staff - will be appointed soon. We are implementing it judiciously so we need some time. We are going through a phase where we need to fight small hurdles. Within the next two months we need to start its implementation," he said.
