Following the issue of the non-availability of insulin at the Sanguem Primary Health Centre (PHC), the Sanguem PHC has now received an adequate supply of the medicine.

Sources informed that soon after being alerted about the shortage of insulin required by diabetic patients, Sanguem Councillor Meshu D’Costa contacted the office of the health minister as well as hospital authorities and appealed to them to arrange an urgent supply of the life-saving medicine.

Following his intervention, the required stock of insulin was made available at the health centre on Monday, bringing relief to several patients who depend on the medicine for their daily treatment.

Residents and diabetic patients from Sanguem have expressed their gratitude to D’Costa for his intervention in taking up the matter with the authorities and ensuring that the issue was resolved, which would give them much relief.
