With the Zambaulim gulal festivities set for Tuesday, the Zambaulim Temple committee and district police have made elaborate security, traffic and parking arrangements. Around 250 police personnel will handle law and order, while 300 traffic personnel will manage traffic and parking.
At a joint conference with SP South Santosh Desai, temple committee president Manjunath Dhukle said parking for about 3,000 four-wheelers and 3,000 two-wheelers has been arranged near the temple. He urged devotees expected from Tuesday noon to cooperate with police.
Dhukle appealed to devotees to use only pink gulal and maintain discipline.
Desai said metal detectors and watch towers will be installed around the temple complex.
South Goa Traffic SP Rajendra Prabhudesai said 300 personnel will enforce traffic and parking arrangements for the Zambaulim-Rivona festivities.
