The IRB constable, arrested on Wednesday for stalking and outraging modesty of a woman, has been remanded to one day police custody.
The accused, Suraj Saxena was arrested based on a complaint by the woman that he stalked her over ‘some personal issues’ and threatened her as well as her husband of dire consequences on September 1. In her complaint to Mapusa police backed by video evidence, she further alleged that Saxena had indulged in the act on previous occasions too.
On Thursday, he was produced before the JMFC Mapusa that remanded him to one day police custody. Babit Naik, who accompanied the accused, is however at large.
