Jagriti from February 24 to 26
PANAJI: The Directorate of Art & Culture in collaboration with the Goa State AIDS Control Society, Panaji, is organizing a dance drama programme called 'Jagriti' based on AIDS from February 24 to 26, Panaji, Vasco and Sankhali.
These shows will be presented at Institute Menezes Braganza on February 24, at 6.30 pm; Ravindra Bhavan, Baina, Vasco on February 25, at 6.30 pm and at Ravindra Bhavan, Sankhali on February 26, at 6.30 pm.
The programme is choreographed & presented by Padma Bhushan Awardee, Dr Saroja Vaidyanathan, New Delhi, along with a troupe of 11 artists. The script is written by the Governor Dr Mrudula Sinha. The dance drama is based on AIDS and drugs and about its awareness.
Jagriti uses classical dance forms Kathak and Bharatnatyam.
