'Jashn-e-Azadi' at Margao

MARGAO: Fifty artists - 30 from New Delhi based 'Sadhya' and 20 local artists will perform at the 'Jashn-e-Azadi,' an hour-long programme of music, songs and dance highlighting the country's freedom struggle and story line from 1857 to 1947. It will be inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Francis D'Souza on December 19, at 5 pm at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao.

Ravindra Bhavan member secreatry, K Signapurkar, said Jashn-e-Azadi will be held to mark the 54th anniversary of Goa Liberation Day on December 19. “The programme is a chronicle journey of our freedom struggle presented through a fascinating and moving fusion of patriotic songs, dance, music tracks and story line of freedom movememnt from 1857 to 1947,” he informed.
