MARGAO: Cuncolim police have registered an FIR against a Jharkhand native for allegedly kidnapping a minor girl from the lawful guardianship of her brother. The action followed a complaint by the girl’s brother, a resident of Cuncolim, who alleged that the accused, also residing in Cuncolim and originally from Jharkhand, took his minor sister from their rented room at Takaband, Cuncolim, on October 22.
A case has been registered against the accused under Section 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 8(2) of the Goa Children’s Act.
