OLD GOA
The accused involved in the assault on Jua Communidade attorney was placed under preventive arrest by Old Goa police on Tuesday. The police informed that the accused was arrested from his residence and later sent for a medical examination.
It may be recalled that The Goan had reported that the communidade attorney, Agnel Silveira, was assaulted by the accused over the issue of the refund of auction bid money. The accused had stripped Silveira, abused him, and even spat on him while also threatening him with dire consequences.
