South Goa District and Sessions judge Irshad Agha has lodged a complaint with the Fatorda police stating that an unknown person has impersonated him on the WhatsApp messenger by using his photo as profile picture and further sending the WhatsApp message to different persons from his contact list.
Judge Agha further stated that the unknown accused person is the user of the mobile No 7489003801.
Fatorda Police station in-charge, PI Ditendra Naik informed that preliminary investigations have revealed that the mobile number has been traced to Rajasthan. He disclosed plans to depute a police team to Rajasthan to verify the same, adding that interrogations of the mobile number would help further shed on the matter.
Further investigations are underway.
