Kala Academy Goa has declared the results of the 50th State Art Exhibition (Artist Category), announcing awards across three competitive sections.
In the Painting and Graphic Print section, Sachin Naik, Prakash Babani Gaonkar and Sidhan Kundaikar have been selected for the award. In the Applied Art and Graphic Design section, the awardees are Sajjan Bhatcar, Rajtilak Naik and Vishwam Vilas Shetkar. In the Sculpture section, Rohil Satodkar, Raksha Naik and Navso K. Parwar have been chosen. Each award carries a cash prize of Rs. 20,000.
The exhibition, which is competitive in nature, was judged by a panel comprising Hanuman Kambli, Rohini Kakode and Sainath Padte. A total of 157 works were received across the three sections, of which 96 exhibits have been selected for display.
The exhibition will be inaugurated by Chandrakant Kavlekar, Chairman of Kala Academy Goa, on February 23, 2026, at 5.00 p.m. at the Art Gallery, Kala Academy in Panaji. The exhibition will be open to the public from February 24 to March 1, 2026, between 10.00 a.m. and 7.00 p.m.
Kala Academy has congratulated all the prize winners. The prize distribution ceremony will be held at a later stage. The public has been requested to note the dates and attend the inaugural function in large numbers.
