PANAJI: The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) will organise a taluka-wise orientation programme on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 for Parent-Teachers’ Associations (PTAs), School Management Committees (SMCs), and management members of government and government-aided or unaided primary and high schools.
The programme aims to improve awareness and understanding of the policy’s key provisions, objectives and implementation framework. SCERT said parents play a vital role in the education system, and their participation is important for effective implementation at the school level. Parents and management members will also be able to interact directly with policymakers and officials to clarify doubts and share feedback. The programme will begin in Quepem taluka on February 23, with schedules already shared with schools.
