Former BJP MLA Kiran Kandolkar on Monday took charge as working president of the Goa Forward party. "I will do my duty as working party president and work for party. In future we will see that Goa Forward will win majority seats in Goa," said Kandolkar.
He said that national parties like BJP are imposing interests of big businessmen on Goan people without their interests at heart.
Recent protests in Chandor and Melaulim are examples of the people's unrest against the Government decisions.
Goa Forward leader Vinod Palyekar said that there is a need for power going to a Goan party and Goa Forward party will take this opportunity and Will raise the work of party from the booth level.
As the level of corruption is increasing and interests of Goans are being neglected by other parties, Goa Forward will take up "Goa for Goans" slogan, he added.
Kandolkar said that Government should not play around with the health of the people by taking hasty decisions such as resuming casino operations in the state.
