State BJP President Sadanand Tanavade on Saturday said the BJP will overcome anti-incumbency factor, if any, in the ensuing assembly elections because of the robust party organisation and the karyakartas’ connect with the people.
“Our karyakartas are always in touch with the common men and therefore we will be able to overcome the anti-incumbency factor. We hold regular events such as yoga day, tree plantation, cycle rally, etc which keeps the karyakartas active. We will overcome all difficulties and win the 2022 elections,” Tanavade said.
The State BJP chief was addressing the media during his one day election awareness drive in Aldona. Local MLA Glenn Ticlo and North Goa BJP District President Mahanand Asnodkar and others were also present.
Tanavade reiterated that BJP would win the elections on its own as the party was resonating with the people of the State.
He also said that the election would take place on schedule after the term of the present assembly ends but some people have started to think that the election will be preponed as we have started meeting people.
“We do all our planning in advance and therefore we are getting good response in the elections. That is why in 2022 the BJP will win on its own strength,” he said.
The BJP chief said that during the Covid crisis the BJP karyakartas and local MLAs have worked overtime to reach out to marginalised people.
“Food parcels were distributed to the needy, patients were escorted to testing centers and hospitals and ambulances were arranged during the trying times. Even during the Tika Utsav the karyakartas were in the forefront,” he said.
He further informed that the party was getting a very good response in Aldona.
“I have held meetings with various party units in the constituency and met a lot of people. The local MLA has a very good connect with the people and party karyakartas,” he said.
Aldona MLA, Glenn Ticlo said the visit of party president is a big boost for the karyakartas in the constituency.
“We have done a lot of work in the constituency and with the help of our chief minister we will strive to complete more works in Aldona. We are confident that the party will storm to power in 2022,” Ticlo said.
