PANAJI
Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal is expected to arrive in Goa on Thursday to buttress his party’s campaign and preparations for the upcoming assembly elections due in early 2022.

Kejriwal has made multiple visits to the State in recent months and has thus far made two major poll promises one related to free and uninterrupted supply of electricity and the second on jobs and ‘unemployment dole’ to all youths until jobs are provided.

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is also scheduled to arrive in Goa on a two-day visit on October 14.

The top BJP leader is coming on an official visit to inaugurate a forensic lab at Verna and is expected to fine-tune the BJP’s election-related strategies and programmes, including tackling the discordant positions of several of the ruling party’s ministers, MLAs and other top leaders.

At the end of September, former Maharashtra CM and Goa election strategist met Calangute MLA Michael Lobo, basically to pacify him. Lobo is keen on his wife contesting in Siolim constituency.
