Kejriwal assures policies only with Goa’s consent

To drum up support for candidates in the run-up to the polls slated for February 4, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal descended on Margao on January 22.

Among the major announcements which turned out to be the major highlights of the meet at Lohia Maidan, Margao, included the stress on following sustainable mining which, he assured to accomplish through modern methods as well as framing of policies in consultation and consent with the people of Goa. He also promised not to impose any policies on the Goans while chalking out policies in consultation/consent of Goans.  
He also assured that the AAP government will provide corruption free government to Goans and give security, safety and justice to Goans. “We will instill confidence in the hearts and minds of Goans so that they feel secure,” he stated.  
Kejriwal also promised to take action against the perpetrators of the Rs 36,000 crore mining scam in Goa, by sending the guilty to jail.  
On mining, the Dehli CM said, “We need sustainable mining, green mining, mining with the future in mind as also mining, which will also take care of the mining dependents,” he remarked. “We will undertake modern mining in Goa which will be a model for the world to follow. In Goa, we will have sustainable mining.”  
The Delhi CM also re-iterated his promise of opening 400 ‘Waddo Clinics’ on the lines of Mohalla Clinics in Delhi, informing that AAP CM candidate Elvis Gomes and his team has already chalked out a plan in this regard.  
The Delhi CM also appealed to the people not to allow their votes to be split among the other parties in the fray.  
Elvis Gomes claimed that Margao is decaying, while assuring solution to Sonsoddo garbage dump within six months of attaining power.   
Others who spoke included Margao and Fatorda candidates Santosh Raiturkar 
and Ranjit Cotta Carvalho 
respectively.

MARGAO: Reacting to Margao AAP candidate Santosh Raiturkar’s remarks about the alleged assault on AAP workers, Kejriwal appealed to AAP volunteers not to reply to violence with violence.  
“The attack only proves that Goan people are winning the elections,” he remarked.  
Earlier, Raiturkar claimed his workers were attacked with bottles and one such worker has sustained injuries in this attack.
