Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday wrapped up his three‑day Goa visit with a massive volunteer induction programme at the Panaji convention centre, ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections.

The party described it as one of the largest such events in Goa, with 1,800 volunteers formally joining AAP. They took a pledge to work for honest politics, public service and a corruption‑free Goa.

Kejriwal welcomed the new members, calling the expansion the biggest in the State so far.

“This reflects the growing desire among people for clean governance. AAP is a party of ordinary citizens who want to serve society and bring positive change,” he said.

He reiterated AAP’s promises for Goa: 300 units of free electricity per household, world‑class healthcare with insurance cover, and Rs 3,000 monthly assistance for homemakers.

“Government hospitals need strengthening, schools need investment, and people deserve quality services without corruption,” Kejriwal added.

AAP Goa In‑Charge Atishi said Goans deserve governance focused on welfare. “Goa is blessed with hardworking people. They deserve a government that protects their interests and ensures quality healthcare, education and infrastructure,” she said.

State President Valmiki Naik said the turnout showed growing faith in AAP’s model of governance displayed in Delhi and Punjab which delivers free power, Mohalla Clinics, and schools of excellence.

The party's Benaulim MLA, Capt Venzy Viegas highlighted AAP’s record of service.

“We raised issues of Goans inside and outside the Assembly, started polyclinics, cleaned rivers, and ensured people’s voices were heard. Our politics is about service, not power,” Viegas said while addressing the newly inducted volunteers and supporters.

Velim MLA, Engr Cruz Silva said the new volunteers represent a wave of change. “They will become the voice of the people in every village, ward and constituency,” he said.

The event concluded with a collective pledge to strengthen AAP’s grassroots organisation and build a people‑centric Goa.
