The Sessions Court on Wednesday granted anticipatory bail to suspended head constables Sanjay Talkar and Udayraj Kalangutkar aka Raju in connection with the allegations of bribery at Keri.
The duo, former Terekhol Coastal Security Police Inspector Videsh Pilgaonkar, and other unknown officials are facing charges of corruption after a sports operator Pruthvi H N complained to the Anti Corruption Branch (ACB) that Pilgaonkar and Talkar allegedly demanded monthly bribes to run the business, despite him possessing valid documents.
Talkar was arrested last Friday soon after which Raju and Pilgaonkar were taken into custody and subsequently suspended.
Arrested on similar charges this week, Pilgaonkar’s bail application will be heard on the next date.
