The residents suspect that the monkey might have died two days back.
The residents immediately reported the matter to the Valpoi Forest Department and Valpoi CHC.
Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services officer Dr Gaunekar rushed to the site and inspected the dead monkey. Later, the forest officials cremated the dead monkey.
Speaking to reporters at the site, a resident, Gauresh Paryekar said KFD had spread widely all over Sattari taluka over the last two years, and the villagers now are fear as one more monkey was found dead in
the monsoon.
