Mahesh Parkar, a Konkani writer, on Sunday said it was the need of the hour for Hindus to become staunch devout Hindus and appealed to them to unite.
He was speaking at Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha organised by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) at Late Sadhashiv Marathe Mandir auditorium in Pilaye at Dharbandoda. Govind Chodankar, HJS coordinator of North Goa, and Rajashri Gadekar of Sanatan Sanstha were present on the occasion.
Speaking further, Parkar said presently the Hindu population is decreasing every passing day. “If this situation persists, then after 25 years Hindus might be in minority.”
“Here only Hindus are taught secularism. Hindus do not have education on Dharma. Hence, they do not have respect for their Dharma. It is the need of hour for Hindus to unite as devout Hindus. Every Hindu should have the capacity to lead,” he appealed.
Earlier, the Sabha commenced with blowing of conch shell and was followed by lighting the lamp by Parkar.
In his speech on ‘Need for Hindu Rashtra and efforts to carry out this mission’, Govind Chodankar said if this nation were to be a Hindu nation, then there would not have been question of government’s taking over temples.
“The issue of building Ram Temple in Ayodhya and Kashi Vishweshwar Temple would not have been pending,” said Chodankar.
Rajashri Gadekar addressed the audience on ‘Terrorism of progressives and devout Hindus’ oppression’.
