Kuwait’s liberation day observed in state

The Goa-Kuwait Solidarity Centre organisd a meet on February 26 at the Institute Menezes Braganza Hall, Panaji marking Kuwait’s 26 years of liberation.

The two prominent guests at the occasion hailing from Kuwait ME Mubaraq al Hindal and ME Sabeer al Hindal. About 150 people working in Kuwait from all walks of Goa attended the meet. The meeting was jointly sponsored by hotel Goan Heritage Calangute and a well known prominent person from Bardez.
Convenor of goa kuwait saolidarity centre ME Antonio Veronica Fernandes, who has been running this organisation for 26 years explained the role played by Goans in Kuwait during the invasion.
Noted tiatr personality ME Prince Jacob spoke about his stage performance of his tiatrs in Kuwait.
Alfredo Fernandes director Goan heritage expressed his sentiments of his father in kuwait  and later briefed of the hotel Goan heritage which is benefited by 220 share shareholders through their hard salaried in Kuwait.
Others who spoke his Prabhakar Timble, Magiee, Manuel Rebello, Manuel Fernandes spoke on different topics.

Clear underwater bridge debris at Borim: GCCI asks Govt

A team comprising representatives of Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) and Goa Mineral Ore Exporters Association (GMOEA) met Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar on Tuesday requesting him to direct the authorities concerned to remove the underwater debris of the Borim bridge on priority so as to allow smooth movement of river traffic, and to avoid any untoward incident.
