A 35-year-old labourer from Dharwad, Karnataka, was found dead in his tent after complaining of uneasiness while working at a temple premises on Sunday.
According to Canacona police, the Canacona CHC informed that Hanamantappa Hakki was brought dead to the health centre on Sunday afternoon.
Police further informed that the deceased, who had been working with fellow labourers at the construction site since morning, suddenly felt sick and went to his tent to rest.
When other labourers went to check on him, they found him unconscious and unresponsive.
He was immediately taken to the CHC Canacona for medical treatment, but a doctor declared him brought dead.
Canacona police conducted an inquest panchanama and sent the body to the South Goa District Hospital at Margao for medico-legal formalities.
Canacona police have registered a case of unnatural death under Section 194 of the BNSS 2023, and further enquiry is being conducted by Canacona PSI Ramdas Doifode.
