Elections for three more comunidade bodies in South Zone could not take place on Sunday for lack of quorum, taking the total number of comunidade bodies, which could not elect the new managing committees in the ongoing election process to 11 so far.
A total of 14 comunidade bodies were scheduled to elect the new managing committees on Sunday. However, as it turned out, elections for the comunidade bodies of Dramapur, Ambelim and Sernabatim could not take place for lack of quorum, informed officials of the South Goa Administrator of Comunidades.
Elections for the comunidade bodies in South Zone had started from December 8 and the process will continue till January 19.
