PONDA
A minor landslide occurred at Sidhanath Parvat at Borim. Locals fear it could happen at more places along the stretch if retaining walls are not constructed. It may be recalled that last year during the monsoon, Sidhanath Parvat had witnessed three landslides.
On Sunday, rocks came down along with mud. According to Harshad Dewari, a local from Borim, more landslides could happen if precautionary measures are not adopted. “Wherever required, retaining walls should be constructed,” he said adding, “Many people visit Sidhanath Parvat during the monsoon to witness its natural beauty.”
Another local informed that though politicians have promised to make this place a tourist spot, nothing has happened yet.
