The Goan: In one sentence, why should people vote for you?
Sudhir Kandolkar: There has been no development in Mapusa for the last 25 years. I have a vision to make Mapusa a modern city.
TG: If you are part of the government, which is the first legislation you would like to pass in the assembly?
SK: We have a lot of educated youth who are unemployed. The current government was involved in corruption where jobs were distributed in only one constituency. I would vouch for legislation where some criteria are fixed so that jobs should be distributed equally in all 40 constituencies.
TG: Which is that one leader outside your party that you admire as a politician and why?
SK: I have high regard for Sudin Dhavalikar. He does the work of the people and therefore gets elected continuously in the legislative assembly.
TG: Who would be your CM choice, should your party come into power?
SK: Our elected MLAs will decide who should be the CM.
TG: Do you justify a merger by 2/3rd or do you consider it as a move against the mandate of people? Explain.
SK: I am totally against the move to jump from one party to the other. It is against the public mandate.
TG: Do you feel the 2022 election will throw a clear winner? Who are your top three finishers along with seats they are likely to win?
SK: The mood is for change. Congress will emerge winner in the election and get 21-plus seats. BJP will be in the second position.
