A lawyer from Porvorim has been booked on charges of threatening and assaulting his former wife and her eight-year-old child.Police have registered an offence against an advocate along with a woman under Sections 504, 509, 323, 341, 506 (2), 34 and Goa Child Protection Act.
The incident is alleged to have taken place near a school in Mapusa on July 21. The suspect is reported to have caught his former wife and her child near the school and abused her. He is also accused of assaulting them. He was accompanied by a woman.
