Leaders motivation has intensified Griha Laxmi card registration: TMC

PANAJI
The Trinamool Congress on Friday said that driven by single-minded motivation of its leaders, the Griha Laxmi card registrations has intensified across the State.

According to a press note, in two different press conferences held at Navelim and Shiroda respectively, TMC leaders Valanka Alemao, daughter of former Chief Minister Churchill Alemao, and MGP youth leader under the Navya Goeank Navi Yuti, Sanket Mule, talked about the far-reaching benefits of the Griha Laxmi scheme.

Noting that the scheme is being received with much enthusiasm, Valanka Alemao stated that in Navelim more than 5,000 households have already registered for the scheme. Additionally, she stated that the team there will kick-start 5-day registration camps across Navelim from January 1, 2022, to complete the remaining registrations.

Expressing her faith in Mamata Banerjee’s leadership, Valanka Alemao stated, “Mamata Banerjee is a leader who knows how to reach the people who are in need, especially when it comes to women. The fact that this scheme is so simple in its registration process, is what sets it apart from any other scheme prevalent in the State. I have myself campaigned door-to-door with this scheme and seen first hand how happy people are at the prospect.”

She announced dates for the registration process: January 1 at Rumdamol, January 2 at Aquem-Baixo, January 3 at Dabolim, January 4 at Telaulim and January 5 at Davorlim, respectively.

The MGP leader under the Navya Goeank Navi Yuti, Sanket Mule, resonated the same sentiments. Speaking to the media about the response the scheme has been receiving from women in Shiroda, Mule stated that almost 2,600 women from across households have already been registered.

“Our volunteers are planning to set up 2 camps per panchayat - with 8 camps in the entire AC, we aim to get 7000 registrations completed by 6th January,” he added.
