State Congress leaders led by GPCC President Girish Chodankar on Saturday offered prayers at the Shree Saunsthan Gokarn Partagali Jivottam Math on the auspicious day of commencement of 'Chaturmas Vrata' by His Holiness Vidyadhish Teerth Swamiji.
Congress leader Yuri Alemao, General Secretary Janardhan Bhandari, Daya Pagi, Canacona Block President Pralay Bhagat and others were also present.
They offered prayers at the Shree Ramdev Virvithal and the Samadhi of Srimad Vidyadhiraj Teerth Swamiji and accepted the Fal Mantrakshata from Srimad Vidyadhish Teerth Swamiji.
Srimad Vidyadhish Teerth Swamiji blessed all the members and advised them to work selflessly for the people of Goa.
Expressing respect and gratitude to the Swamiji, Chodankar said he felt blessed to visit the 500-year-old Math and seek blessings from the Swamiji.
Math Committee Vice President R R Kamath, Secretary Anil Pai and others were present to welcome the Congress delegation.
