A leopard was sighted in the courtyard of a house at Char-Rasta in Canacona, causing panic among residents in the area.
CCTV footage captured the leopard moving in the courtyard of Vishwas Desai's house on January 31 at about 9.30 pm.
This has alarmed family members and residents since they frequently move around in the area at night.
The house is located close to the road leading from Char Rasta to the Palolem beach and domestic and foreign tourists regularly walk on the road at night.
Desai has written to the forest department requesting authorities to relocate the leopard away from their area.
