Mopa police inspector Ninad Deulkar and a police team along with illegal liquor seized by Mopa police.

In a significant seizure and first major action by the newly formed Mopa Police Station, liquor worth Rs 10.82 lakh was seized from a truck in Hasapur-Pernem on Monday.
According to Mopa Police Inspector Ninad Deulkar, the action was taken after police received information that the liquor was being transported to Maharashtra.
The truck driver Vijaybhai Banabhai Chaudhary was detained by Mopa police and about 3333.73 litres of alcohol comprising beer, whiskey, vodka and other types of alcohol were seized from the vehicle.
The driver was later arrested in this connection, while the seized liquor was handed over to the Pernem Excise office.
Mopa Deulkar, Sub-Inspector Prajit Mandrekar, Sub-Inspector Deepak Haldankar, Head Constable Dhondu Tulsakar, Head Constable Jayant Gad, Constable Pradip and Umesh Virnodkar conducted the operation.
