Live wire claims toddler’s life in Vasco THE GOAN NETWORK

PANAJI: A three-year-old boy died after allegedly suffering an electric shock at Mangor Hill, Vasco, on Friday afternoon.


According to preliminary information, the child was playing beneath the shed when he accidentally touched the live wire, which had become entangled with the metal structure. He suffered a severe electric shock and collapsed at the spot.


Family members immediately rushed the child to the Sub-District Hospital, Chicalim, where doctors declared him brought dead.


Vasco Police received information from the hospital and visited the facility to conduct further formalities. An inquest panchanama was carried out, and the body was preserved at the South Goa District Hospital, Margao.


Police have registered a case of unnatural death, and further investigations are underway.
