Lobo hits back at former Calangute MLA Agnelo over PDA

PANAJI: Chairman of North Goa Planning Development Authority (NGPDA), Michael Lobo, has said that Congress spokesperson Agnelo Fernandes was the first person to seek change in zoning of his plot when NGPDA had said that it was accepting proposals for zone changing.

A few days back Fernandes had alleged in a press conference by saying that Calangute-Candolim Outline Development Plan (ODP) is a scam and Lobo has been given Parra and Candolim as a chocolate because Greater Panaji was taken away from him.

Lobo said, “First application, which came to us, was from Agnelo Fernandes to change the zoning. He wanted his zoning to be done as C2 which means 150% floor-area-ratio but at that time we were giving only C3 and we have considered his application. The application is dated October 7, 2016.” Lobo further said that Fernandes wanted the zoning of his hotel right opposite Candolim football ground to be changed. Meanwhile, the NGPDA has given permission for zoning change to Fernandes.

Lobo also hit out at people who had spoken against him at the press conference conducted by Fernandes. He said, “The son of ex-attorney Agnelo from Nagoa comunidade has filled five fields and constructed. We are issuing notice to him. He was with Fernandes at the press conference.”  Lobo said that Fernandes has taken the advantage of PDA and he doesn’t want people to do so.
