Accusing Marcaim MLA Sudin Dhavalikar of doing nothing for the constituency, the Marcaim BJP unit wants the party to contest in Marcaim and has assured to create jobs and boost development if its candidate is elected.

In a related development, Saurabh Lotlikar and Sharmila Lotlikar, his mother and panch member of Bandora, entered the BJP with their supporters on Saturday.

GEL chairman Dattaprasad Naik addressed BJP supporters at a meeting in Bandora panchayat hall and assured the new entrants that BJP would fulfill the dreams of Marcaim constituency. “We never asked people to collect their schemes orders from our homes; instead we go to their homes and give it. But in Marcaim the story is different and the politician here makes people wait in queues.” Naik taunted Dhavalikar.

Marcaim BJP Block president Tulshidas Naik, Marcaim Panch Vidhya Gawade, Bandora panch Sharmila Lotlikar, Saurabh Lotlikar, Santosh Ramnathkar and Pradeep Shet were present at the meeting.

Naik alleged that the Regional Transport Officers had harassed one bus owner on behest of Sudin Dhavalikar.

“The moment he got the PWD portfolio in the BJP government, he started harassing us. He didn’t promote development in the constituency of BJP MLAs. He never paid heed to our grievances. But now, we will work in Marcaim in full swing and will ensure the victory for our candidate.” He said.

Stating that they have started a membership drive in Marcaim, Naik added, “Within the next 30 days, we will target around 8,000 members.”

Noted businessman and BJP leader Pradeep Shet said they would not tolerate any blackmailing tactics from Sudin Dhavalikar.

Saurabh Lotlikar dared Sudin Dhavalikar to win in Priol and Ponda. “I openly challenge him to secure a victory in these two constituencies,” he said.
