Residents in Canacona have decided form the ‘Jagrut Canaconakar’ to demand the removal of Canacona taluka from the proposed third district.
The committee which was appointed at the meeting comprises Prashant Naik (Convenor) and Shantaji Naik Gaonkar (Co-Convenor), while the members are Vikas Bhagat, Janardhan Bhandari, Satish Painginkar, Pravir Bhandari, Samrat Bhagat, Sunil Paingankar, Ramu Naik, Dasharath Gaonkar, Datta Gaonkar and Ursila Costa.
