Saplings given away to the villagers by Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar and VP Loliem-Polem sarpanch Nisha Chari on Sunday.

Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam, an interesting program was held at Loliem-Polem Panchayat, celebrating the beautiful bond between nature and motherhood under this noble initiative.
Ramesh Tawadkar, Speaker and MLA of Canacona attended the programme where the Loliem-Polem panchayat led the plantation drive and distributed plants to all the villagers who attended the programme, encouraging each one to plant a tree in their mother’s name.
The programme has been inspired by Prime Minister's vision, the initiative encouraging planting trees as a tribute to one’s mother and promotes a greener, healthier tomorrow, emphasized the speaker.
Addressing the participants on the occasion, Tawadkar spoke about the various development works, ongoing initiatives, and the needs of the Loliem-Polem area. He also highlighted the progress already made in Loliem-Polem Panchayat and appreciated the panchayat members for their outstanding performance and dedication toward the village’s growth.
Canacona ZAO Mahendra Pagi guided the villagers on how to properly take care of the plants. He explained the importance of watering, protecting the saplings, and monitoring their growth regularly to ensure that each tree survives and flourishes into a symbol of love and responsibility.
Sarpanch VP Loliem-Polem Nisha Chari, Dy Sarpanch Rajesh Bandekar, Panch members Ajay (Ajit) Lolyenkar, Chandrakant Sudir, Rajesh Naik, Sachin Naik, Supriya Pagi, and Ratna Prabhu Gaonkar attended the programme.
Also present were BJP Canacona Mandal President Prabhakar Gaonkar, General Secretary Divakar Pagi, BJP Canacona Mahila Morcha President Vinda Satarkar, OSD to Speaker Santosh Lolyekar, and villagers of Loliem-Polem.
