LPG cylinder blast injures 3 at Sanvordem

Three persons were injured after a LPG gas cylinder exploded in a house at Sanvordem-Sattari on Wednesday evening.

According to reports, Subhash Gaonkar had bought a refilled LPG gas cylinder at about 3.30 pm as his old cylinder got empty. 
As he was about to connect the LPG cylinder, the gas started leaking and without wasting any time, Goankar fastened the hose and threw a wet cloth over it. But it did not stop the gas from leaking and the cylinder exploded and the house was engulfed in the fire.   
Sources said Subhash wife Anjani and her two sons sustained burn injuries.   
Alert residents rushed to the house and shifted all three injured persons to Valpoi CHC. They were later shifted to GMC hospital in 
Bambolim for further medical treatment.

Confusion at Chaudi over removal of seven kiosks

Confusion prevailed at Chaudi on Wednesday, after the Canacona Municipal Council (CMC) removed seven kiosks from the site allegedly allotted to a rickshaw stand and kiosk owners were later prevented by rickshaw drivers from attempting to bring back their kiosks to the original site.
