Goa Congress President Luizinho Faleiro said he was ‘positive’ about the election results ruling out nothing as he emerged from a ‘conditioning’ meeting of all his candidates and their polling agents and added that major decisions would be taken after the elections.
“We have taken stock of the situation. The candidates and their agents have been briefed and have been told about the procedure to call for a count of the ballots and to raise an issue if there is a doubt or a discrepancy,” Faleiro said.
He reiterated his stance that his party will achieve a majority, saying that their seats will range from 22 to 25.
“Many people including our own party men did not give us much of a chance. They said we would win three to five seats. Today we are talking about a majority. I give full credit to the people of Goa and the party workers who have made this possible,” Faleiro said.
