Mapusa Police have arrested the alleged main accused, Ravi Naik, in the sensational Nachinola road rage stabbing case, days after another suspect was taken into custody.
The attack, captured on CCTV and widely shared on social media, took place last week on the main road at Nachinola, leaving a Tivim resident injured after he was allegedly assaulted and stabbed by a group of men.
Police had earlier arrested Suraj Kasbe, a native of Maharashtra, in connection with the case. Investigators are continuing efforts to trace the remaining suspects.
The viral CCTV footage sparked widespread outrage and demands for swift action. The victim alleged that three to four people were involved and urged police to arrest all the accused.
Aldona MLA Carlos Ferreira has sought a Crime Branch probe into the case.
