The Maina-Curtorim police is in the process of collecting evidence to make a foolproof case in the Francisco Carvalho murder, which was solved a day ago with the arrest of four persons.
District Police chief, SP Arvind Gawas informed that the police have launched a manhunt to arrest the remaining two accused persons, who were part of the group that attacked the deceased at a bar at Manora-Raia. “We are confident that the police will succeed in arresting the remaining two accused shortly. Family members of the accused persons have been called for interrogations as part of the investigations in the case,” SP Gawas said.
He said the police are on the job to recover the motorcycles used by the accused in the crime, as investigations have revealed that the accused persons, after stabbing the deceased to death, had transported his body from the Manora bar to the Borim bridge on their motorcycles.
The police have so far arrested Royan Alvares (21), Vilton Coutinho (34), Melburn Coutinho (22), all residents of Anuz-Nuvem and Valencio Vaz (26), a resident of Minglar-Shiroda in connection with the murder. They have been remanded to four days police custody.
The Maina-Curtorim police are investigating.
