The Railway Protection Force (RPF) on Monday apprehended a bootlegger from Karnataka and seized from his possession liquor bottles worth over Rs 6,000.
The accused was detained at the Margao railway station during the routine patrolling conducted by the Railwaymen in uniform. After a search, the RPF team found that the accused was unauthorizedly carrying the liquor bottles, around 38 in number, worth Rs 6560.
RPF officials said the seized liquor bottles will be handed over to the Goa Excise, who will conduct further investigations.
