The Mapusa police have registered an FIR against a man for allegedly assaulting an elderly man and a minor boy in Aldona.
According to the complaint filed by a woman from Bastora, the incident took place on the evening of March 10 at around 5:45 pm near a school in Aldona.
The accused, a resident of Aldona, allegedly attacked the complainant’s father and her minor son, hitting them with slaps and wooden sticks, resulting in bodily injuries.
Following the complaint lodged in the early hours of March 11, the Mapusa police registered an FIR under Section 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, and Section 8 of the Goa Children’s Act.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
