The Margao police have registered a FIR against a resident of Mandopa-Navelim for allegedly having forceful sexual intercourse with a woman on multiple occasions from June 2021.
The police have further alleged that the accused cheated her after inducing the victim to pay Rs eight lakh on the pretext of marriage.
The incident is believed to have taken place from June 2021 at Mandopa, Navelim and Mumbai till 2026. A case under section 64 (2) (m), 69, 318 and 351 of BNS was registered against the accused.
