A 45-year-old man residing opposite Dabolim Airport and a native of Dumka-Jharkhand died of injuries after falling off a wall near his residence.
Vasco police was informed that Sukal Marandi (45) had sustained serious injuries after the fall and was moved to the Chicalim Sub-District Hospital, from where he was shifted to GMC at Bambolim and died while undergoing treatment.
Police conducted an inquest panchanama and sent the body for an autopsy, which revealed that the Marandi had died from head and cervical spine injuries. No foul play has been suspected and the body has been handed over to the family for final rites.
Vasco police has registered a case of unnatural death under Section 194 of BNSS and PSI Plato Carvalho of Vasco Police Station is carrying out further investigation under the supervision of PI Kapil Nayak and guidance of Mormugao DySP Salim Shaikh.
