Colvale Police have arrested a 56-year-old man from Madel, Tivim, on charges of sexually assaulting a minor boy.
The accused has been identified as Paul Fonseca.
According to police sources, the accused allegedly targeted multiple minor children.
Sources said Paul allegedly lured children from underprivileged families with eatables and gifts and sexually abused them.
In a complaint filed at Colvale police station, the victim’s mother said that the alleged accused kidnapped her 11-year-old son and further sexually assaulted and even threatened him to satisfy his lust.
As per the complaint, the boy’s sister was also sexually assaulted by the accused.
The accused has been booked under various sections of BNS, POCSO and Children’s Act.
Colvale Police are investigating the matter.
