CANACONA
A man from Uttar Pradesh was on Monday arrested on charges of attempting to murder his wife at Mokhard-Bhatpal.
According to Canacona police, Sajid Khan allegedly attacked his wife Rima Choudhary with a knife in their rented room and she is undergoing treatment at the Goa Medical College hospital in Bambolim.
The couple have been married for six years and they have a 4-year-old son.
Khan was produced before a JMFC court and was later remanded to 8 days in police custody for further investigation.
Canacona PSI Ramchandra Naik is investigating into the case under the direct supervision of Canacona PI Pravin Gawas.
