Second ANC bust in 48 hrs

The Anti Narcotic Cell (ANC) on Friday arrested a man from Odisha and seized nearly 3 kg of suspected ganja. This is the second drug seizure in the last 48 hours.
The accused, Bansi Dhar Sahoo, was allegedly found with 2.996 kg of suspected ganja worth about Rs 1.5 lakh. The drugs were seized and Sahoo was produced before the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC), Mapusa, who remanded him to seven days of police custody.
The arrest comes a day after another major operation by the ANC. On Thursday, officers seized ecstasy powder worth around Rs 65 lakh from Afnan Ghori, a resident of Mapusa.
A search of his house later led to the seizure of more drugs, including ecstasy, ganja and cocaine.
