Vasco police led by PI Kapil Nayak on Thursday arrest a person on charges of kidnapping a minor girl within two hours of the complaint from the parents of the girl.

Vasco police arrested Mohammed Jhunnu (20), a native of Bihar but residing near Noorani Masjid, New Vaddem.

Sources said the minor girl was traced along with the accused Mohammed Jhunnu near Margao railway station and Jhunnu was arrested under Section 363 IPC and Section 8 of Goa Children’s Act.

PSI Mayur Sawant is carrying out further investigation under the supervision of PI Kapil Nayak and guidance of Mormugao DySP Salim Shaikh.

PERNEMA security guard from Assam has been arrested on charges of stealing cash and a mobile phone, all worth Rs 40,000 from a hotel in Arambol.According to Pernem police, the hotel manager had lodged a complaint on December 17 stating that on December 15, the accused Manik Talukdar (28) of Korajhar-Assam, who was employed as a security guard at the hotel, had stolen cash of Rs 20,200 from two rooms, a mobile phone from the reception and cash of Rs 6,500 from the locker of…
