Based on a complaint filed by Annie D’Souza, police booked the accused for attempting to kill the complainant’s driver, Noor Mullah, from Calangute.
According to police, the accused stabbed Mullah in his abdomen near Royal Foods in Calangute on Saturday at around 2.30 pm.
“Mullah sustained injuries and immediately collapsed on the floor. He was rushed to the hospital by some locals,” PI Jivba Dalvi said. After committing the crime, the accused ran away from the spot and has been absconding since then, police said. The exact motive behind the crime is yet to be established even as Calangute police have launched a search operation to nab the accused. They have registered an offence of attempt to murder against the accused under Section 307 IPC.
The victim is currently under observation in GMC.
